I wasn't feeling super inspired when I was getting dressed yesterday. I've been sick again since the weekend and just getting through preparing lectures, teaching, and grading has had me pretty much wiped out by the end of each day this week. I've had no energy for much besides, which is really frustrating because I'm supposed to turn my dissertation into my readers in a week and a half and run a half-marathon in less than three weeks. Since I wasn't feeling so hot, I just went for comfort with my cotton purple dress and my black cardi.

I tried to pep up my with my polka dot tights and a colorful, patterned scarf, but I felt like I should be teaching at Clown College, considering how red and puffy my nose was (and is). I really wished I could have just stayed in pjs with cups of hot tea and episodes of LOST.
What are your tricks for powering through a week when you're not feeling your best?
