Venice, the city in northern Italy does not need much introduction. Who has not heard of this romantic city with the Gondolas and the strolling musicians that serenade you as you pass by? Anyone that loves to travel always has Venice as one of those places that has to be visited. For this reason Venice is one of the top tourist destinations in the world. In the year 2006, statistics show that it had almost three million international arrivals that year.
It is such a bewitching city that most rich and famous make a point to visit yearly. The Venice Film Festival alone attracts visitors in the international art world every year. Many of Venice's attractions have been noted in countless movies and novels. The St. Mark's Basilica is the most famous church of the area. It is renowned for its Byzantine architecture and lies on Piazza San Marco. The Horses of Saint Mark were installed on the basilica since about 1254.
Needless to say, a sophisticated city like this will have impeccable service. It will not disappoint. What can be better than Venice hotels? Venice is renowned for its unique and rich architectural style. The most famous is the Gothic style. The city is also a major shopping centre.
