Fashion Advise For Men Over FortyBy Mathieu Courchesne There are ways to maintain a sense of style and come out as someone your age. Here are simple guidelines to help. Does The Color Make You Look Sick? If you are a man over 40 you should realize that your body starts to change. Your skin color and hair color for example start to look different. This means that your choice of colors when it comes to clothes should change too. It is crucial to ensure that the colors you wear are still flattering. Have You Borrowed Your Son's Clothes You need to direct your attention more to what fits well and avoid putting on the trendy clad. You don't want to come out as if you are trying to hang on to your youth, and even make you look like you haven't found yourself. A good idea is to stick with the classics. But this doesn't mean boring. What Time is Time Off? When you are over forty, it is likely that your lifestyle has changed. You might have retired and are now on a cruise around the world. This is usually very confusing to men since they probably have to shift from wearing a suit on weekdays and just jeans and t-shirts on weekends. It gets challenging to revamp the wardrobe from that to whatever new lifestyle they go for. A sport coat even in suede is a great transition. And in case on weekdays you wore dress shoes and on weekends you wore sneakers you may try something casual like driving moccasins. Just Because You Have a Great Body . .. Whether you had a great body or not, when you hit forty it is time to wear clothes differently from how you did it in the heydays. For instance if you had a six-pack or a great butt, you should not go for low cut and tight fitting jeans that you may have been a big fan of earlier on. You can still wear flattering, t-shirts and stylish jeans, but just a little differently. Challenged by Style? If you really need help with your style you could go to a really good men's store and try wearing stuff to get a better idea of what is still flattering. If you get a good salesperson he/she should be able to provide some good tips. remember you are just trying them on, you don't have to buy anything that you are advised to take. These guidelines should be of use. You don't have to make a sudden transition however. You can start picking it up from your very late 30s and change one after another with time.
