Another Use for Cardigans

Today was absolutely gorgeous and I had told my students in my upper level course on Tuesday that if was still nice today that we could go outside for class.  I knew when I looked outside this morning that they would hold me to my word.  Knowing that no matter what temperature it is outside it is chilly in my office on campus and that I like to sit cross-legged if I'm sitting on the ground, I added a cardi to my outfit to prevent uncomfortable chill and embarrassing exposure.1

1. Dress - Nine West (remixed)
Cardi - August Silk (thrifted and remixed)
Shoes - Mia (remixed)
Scarf - ? (thrifted and remixed)
Ring - Gift (remixed)
Earrings - Target (remixed)

It was so warm that it really wasn't necessary, even as I was leaving to commute to SLAC at 9:30 this morning.   However, there are few things more embarrassing than flashing your students, even on April Fools' Day, so I was glad to be able to throw my cardigan over my knees to prevent any public indecency.

I have taken my smaller classes (20 and under) outside a fair amount in the past, and it worked really well in one of my classes this past fall.  However, I was a bit irritated today by how distracted my students seemed by the fresh air and sunlight -- or maybe it was by their peers throwing frisbees and sunbathing a bit further down the quad....  Do you ever take your classes outside?  Does doing so change how you dress?

Have you played any April Fools' Day pranks on anyone yet?
