Spend the New Year Holiday at the Beach

Spend the New Year Holiday at the Beach

By Lisa McAvoy

One of the biggest celebrations of the year, the New Year holiday presents an excellent opportunity for a big party. A social gathering with food, champagne, and maybe a few fireworks will usually suffice. But those who want to ring in the New Year in a more unique fashion may want to celebrate along the Gulf Coast.

There are several features of the Alabama Gulf Coast that make it ideal for a New Year celebration. When the ball drops and the champagne is toasted, celebrators have the option of raising their glasses at an ocean-side restaurant, from the balconies of their Gulf-front condos, or even right on the beach if they so desire.

There are also several options for accommodating parties of various sizes. Smaller, more intimate parties may prefer a hotel or condominium with a fully furnished kitchen, balcony, and amenities. On the other hand, larger parties might want a beach house to allow for extra room, more privacy, and more private beach access (for those beach-side New Year champagne toasts). Brett/Robinson rents several condominiums and beach houses-vacationers may want to take advantage of these setups and invite friends and family to the Gulf for a memorable New Year's gathering.

Another perk to celebrating the New Year in the Gulf Shores/Orange Beach area is the party doesn't have to end with the New Year's Eve party-between scenic nature, a variety of attractions, and mild winter weather, the area offers plenty of activities and events to make a full vacation out of the weekend.
