The Everyday: Introducing Wedding Photographer Tyler Branch

All photos by Tyler Branch.

Happy Monday, all!

Lately I've been obsessed with photograhers who have a knack for capturing the everyday. There's something so beautiful about finding grace in the tiny moments that would be easy to miss if we didn't stop to observe them carefully.

This series hopes to remind you of the way an image can witness the whimsical, to document the allure of a landscape or profile, and to capture life's radiance.

Wedding photographer Tyler Branch has a way of grasping happiness in portraits -- not only of the bride and groom on their special day, but also the loving guest who support them. His ability to move between the close up and the wide is also fascinating, and brings a lot of emotion and depth to his work.

Checking out his site takes my breath away.

Lately I've been obsessed with photograhers who have a knack for capturing the everyday. There's something so beautiful about finding grace in the tiny moments that would be easy to miss if we didn't stop to observe them carefully.

In the next few weeks, I'll be introducing you to a few photographers with such talent to witness the whimsical, to document the allure of a landscape or profile, and to capture life's radiance.

In this little series, Alex Innocent does a stunning job of observing the picturesque California countryside using a classic film camera. Muted color, the hovering of the fog, the spareness of the frame: it all comes together wonderfully.

More of Alex's work to come soon!

Love in the Everyday

Photo via Paolo Zerbini.
A reader recently posted about how she enjoys the fact that my blog embraces the everyday. She said she can appreciate it even though she's not a yogi because I post about simple, real things in my life.

I was super honored, excited and inspired by that idea.

Sometimes I am in awe of the little wonderful moments we encounter on days that might outwardly seem dull.

We catch the light in the kitchen illuminating the steam from beneath a pot on the stove.

We do our yoga again, and are transformed by it. Again.

The unusual within the everyday makes me smile. You?
