Learn to Listen and Improve Your Relationship!

Learn to Listen and Improve Your Relationship!
By Marisa Marquez
It is important to remember to listen when you are communicating with your significant other. You care deeply for your wife, husband, boyfriend, or girlfriend and they deserve your undivided attention. Take the time to do nothing but listen to what your loved one is saying. Even if you do not like what they are saying do not tune them out. Your partner knows when you are tuning them out!
If you are speaking on the phone with your loved one do not do other activities at the same time. Discontinue whatever you are doing such as surfing the internet, reading, doing laundry or watching TV. Give them your full attention. They can tell when you are distracted. The smallest distraction may cause you to miss important information. Focus 100% on your partner when they are speaking to you. Take their words at value and do not misinterpret them. If you twist what they are saying they will talk to you future. Ask as many questions as you went once they are finished speaking.
Do not allow yourself to focus on a phrase they said just because it displeased you. Humans are visual creatures so make sure to watch your body language. Do not cross your arms, avoid eye contact, or wince when they is speaking. The conversation may end abruptly if your body language is conveying that you're not interested. You can use these listening techniques to improve how you communicate with everyone in your life. Listening takes practice so don't worry if you don't get it right the first time.

Love Never Fails
This wedding took my breath away. I love her tattoo, and that the photographer named the title of his blog post featuring their photos after it.
I'm a sucker for gorgeous weddings and happy couples. Maybe it's a girl thing. Maybe it's a newlywed thing. Maybe some of you yogis can't relate and wouldn't mind if I didn't post wedding photography on the blog, but... I love it too much :)
Looking through the images allows me to think back to my big day and all those emotions, how much I love my husband, and how wonderful marriage truly is. May the photographs inspire you to reflect on love, too.
Love never fails.
And there is no fear in love.

Why the Red Rose Signifies Love

Why the Red Rose Signifies Love
Author: Roses Only
Red roses make Valentine's Day special - whether you give your loved one a single red rose or five dozen roses, Roses are romantic.
Some facts:
The word "rose" means red or pink and is derived from different languages, such as Greek and Latin. In ancient times, roses were also considered a vital ingredient in the making of love potions. Whether they ever worked or not we don't know. The Greek goddess of love Aphrodite was also associated with the rose and there is a story about the creation of the rose in ancient Greek mythology where Chloris, the goddess of flowers created the rose by giving life to a nymph. Aphrodite gave her beauty, Dionysus, nectar and the three Graces, charm, brightness and joy.
Roses have become a universal symbol and been represented over time in numerous classical paintings, poetry and music. Roses have inspired many, across various cultures around the world to this day. While the rose has inspired many, it has over time emerged as the symbol of romance and thus very popular on Valentine's Day.
Roses are the ultimate symbol of love and saying "I love you". According to some traditions. The number of roses apparently, also has meaning:
- No roses means "you're sleeping on the sofa"
- Single rose means an "only love"
- Lilac rose means, "love at first sight"
- Dozen roses means "true love"
- 99 roses means "forever love"
- 100 roses means "marry me"
Where it all started:
In pre-Victorian times, much of the population was illiterate. So instead of writing love letters, they sent flowers instead as a way to express their feelings. This continued on into the Victorian era and became a clever way for a young lady's admirer to express his feelings towards her. Even today, roses are considered to signify love, passion, romance and attraction.
Since roses and other flowers were considered to represent love, and over time the red rose came to signify love and romance (people think of the human heart as red in colour and the heart also signifies love), thus the tradition of sending your "loved one" or even just the person you are secretly infatuated with a rose or a number of roses, budget depending.
There are distinct varieties of roses, and many different colours such as yellow, white, orange, pink and mauve. There are even different varieties of red roses, such as Black Magic, which is a crimson rose, Black Baccara which is almost black in colour with velvety soft petals and the Magnum, a tightly shaped rose bud that is bright red.
Valentine's Day
If you want to spoil your girlfriend, wife, secret love, special friend or significant other on Valentine's Day, then why not show her how much you love her and send her flowers. Women like to feel special and beautiful roses will definitely make her feel special.
There is also nothing worse than being the only person in the office who didn't receive a card and/ or flowers on the most romantic day of the year.
If you find it hard to talk about your feelings, roses can help. Use them to express your feelings. If you've found it hard to pluck up the courage to let someone know how much you care for them, why not say it with roses instead?
Roses Only can send your loved one a dozen red roses or even just a single rose for Valentine's Day. Rose delivery is available Australia wide in most capital cities. So why not send your special someone roses on Valentines Day.
