Scene Girls; You Thought They Were Hot, Until...

Time to remove the mysterious mask of Spackle which has so thoroughly hidden the frightening truth behind it!  You may have been fooled into thinking these "Scene Queens", as they call themselves, are at least moderately attractive, but alas, the truth emerges.
AAAAAaaaaahhhh!
The truth hurts.
Kinda cool in a Horror Movie sort of way.
Ooof.

:(
Now, let me show you an example of a girl who looks hot when she's got makeup and photoshop on her side.  When her real appearance isn't completely obscured, she looks significantly less attractive.

Keep in mind, that she is still wearing a good deal of makeup and utilizing photoshop in the second pic.

That's all for now, but I hope I have helped some of you in your quest for the truth.

Anna Sui Cosmetics With Unique Color Range

Anna Sui Cosmetics With Unique Color Range

By Elnora A Augustan

Anna Sui is an internationally renowned brand and produces cosmetics, skincare and fragrances in addition to haute couture and ready-to-wear apparel. The Anna Sui makeup products are quite popular due to their pretty goth slash girly packaging, the unique colors that are used and lovely scent.

The design of the packaging and containers for AnnaSui cosmetics products is floral (specifically the rose) and unlike most other brands, prominently features purple and black giving it a very goth look. However, the design is usually very feminine and the containers and packaging are always aesthetically pleasing to look at.

Anna Sui cosmetics, skincare and fragrances are generally thought to be add-ons to the main brand in the Western markets; Anna Sui is, however, among the top selling brands in Asia for cosmetics and skincare and among the top ten for fragrances.

Among the most popular Anna Sui makeup products are the Anna Sui Lipstick, Super Long Lash Mascara and the Anna Sui Face Color.

The Anna Sui Lipstick comes in a huge selection of colors, does not dry your lips and has no taste, the last of which is a big plus for many women. This Anna Sui cosmetic product does have a rose scent, however, which is well liked by most users and reviewers.

The shades available are in a wide range, which from 060 looks like black, cycling through purple, red, pink and nude shades and tints. At 602 you get a bright orange color whereas 700 and 701 are shades of brown while the other extreme is 850, a bright yellow. The Gloss Lipsticks in particular are highly rated and very popular among users.

The Super Mascara DX Waterproof is one of the top rated Anna Sui makeup products and is loved by users for its ability to create luscious looking lashes.

Unlike many "waterproof" mascaras that start to run at the slightest hint of moisture, the Anna Sui Super Mascara DX Waterproof actually is significantly waterproof, lasts through the day and, perhaps most importantly, manages to hold the curl throughout the day.

The Anna Sui Face Color Accent is a highly rated blush that looks very bright in the box but when properly applied gives a natural healthy glow to your complexion.

You can find all the latest Anna Sui cosmetics at Dress4Less and purchase them with up to 60% with our sale discounts as well as free shipping. Our superb customer service and rapid shipping ensures that you will always be delighted shopping at Dress4Less.

This unique article about Anna Sui cosmetics is by Elnora Augustan, the staff writer for grooming products at Dress4Less. Dress4Less.com is dedicated to providing the best skin care and cosmetics for women at the lowest prices.

Skin Care For Women Over 50

Skin Care For Women Over 50

Author: John Socratous

There was a time when for women over 50, it meant end of beauty and best days! They stoically embraced the great signs of aging like wrinkles, sagging skin and dryness. But with advancement of science is every field, and also rediscovering the ancient wisdoms of our grandmothers, today there are both natural and medical ways of preventing the skin from turning our worst enemy once we turn 50. Skin care has become easier that before; but it is only effective when done with utmost care and regularity.

When you reach the age of 50, you have to take care of skin in two ways; first you have to prevent further damages or limit the damages due to aging, and also turn some if not all the damages that already has happened. At this age our skin loses elasticity and moisture in a much greater speed and cell turnover also slows down. That is why women over 50 need products that are very proactive in working so that the skin gets adequate protection from sun, moisture is retained and skin regeneration gets a boost. With regular use of such products, you will see great improvement when it comes to wrinkles and fine lines.

The few things you will need for maintaining a skin care regime for women over 50 include facial cleanser, a moisturizer for the day with SPF and a moisturizer for night. You will also need a washcloth while cleaning and washing your face.

Use a gentle cleanser that has non-soap formula to clean your face two times a day, once in the morning and once in night. It is better if you go for cleansers that are specifically created for aging, mature skin like yours as they have most amount of moisturizer. Take about a dime-size cleanser in your hand and massage it slowly to your skin. Now wet a washcloth with tepid water and wash off the cleanser by rubbing with the washcloth. Use circular motion while doing that. When you wash off in such a manner, your face not only gets cleaned, it also gets exfoliated.

Remember that the sun is your worst enemy all the more as your natural protection system is now slowing down. So avoid direct sunlight as much as possible as it can also lead to skin cancer and faster aging.

After cleaning your face in the morning, use a serum or rich emollient cream to moisturize your skin. Look for those products that come with antioxidants like Vitamin C or peptides and protect your skin from both UVB and UVA rays. Such moisturizer for women over 50 generally come with SPF 15 or 30. Make sure you apply it to your face when it is still damp from cleansing; as wet skin react better with such anti-aging products.

At night, the moisturizer to use after your clean your face should be some thick cream that has retinoids like Retin-A or retinol. Retinoid have a tendency to become extra-sensitive to sun and hence you should use retinoid based products at night for maximum benefit. Just rub it gently to your face and let it work through for the rest of the night.
Women over 50 should make sure that they visit their dermatologist on regular basis. There are many health problems related to your skin that may come up at this age; and you need to protect yourself from them as well as along with protection from the signs of aging.

FBFF: Beauty Products, A Roundtable

First things first.  We'd like to announce that the winner of our Shabby Apple Giveaway was Anne!

Congratulations, Anne!  We'll be in touch shortly.  Thanks to everyone who entered and who reads our blog!

Now without further ado, we're on to this week's FBFF Questions.  For more information about FBFF, head over to Modly Chic.

1.  What's your favorite drugstore makeup product and your favorite higher end product?

AUH: High End: MAC Plushlash. Drugstore: Revlon Quad in Wil Orchids

LHdM: My favorite drugstore product is Mabeline Mineral Power Blush.  I don't really do high end make up.  I guess the highest you could say I go is I wear Aveda and Body Shop lipsticks.  Aveda's are my favorite.

SFE: Boots No7 (at Target in the U.S.) powder and black eyeliner. Over the past few years I've stopped using a lot of drugstore makeup because I find it difficult to work with or find colors I like and that was wasting money.  I think I throw out 2/3 of every lipstick/gloss I buy at CVS.  For a couple more dollars I can buy Clinique and use it until it runs out.  It's actually worked out to be cheaper. And my favorite higher-end product is Stila eyeshadow, especialy the combination of Kitten and Holly Golightly.  I use it at least 3 times a week, but it looks awesome for low-light, bar-light or theatre-going as well.

2. Is there one type of product that is your go-to, can’t live without?

AUH: Eyeshadow. I can look pale with pinched lips and not care as long as I've got some paint on my lids.

LHdM: Moisturizer with an SPF.  I use of Oil of Olay.  Honestly, I don't always wear make up, especially in the hot and humid months of summer, but I always wear my moisturizer.

SFE: Blush (I use Origins). If I'm running late and I only have time for one thing, I will go with blush because it makes the most difference for me. If you can add lipstick/gloss while in the car, on the train/bus even better.

3. What’s the best hair product you’ve ever used?

AUH: Aveda Be Curly shampoo and conditioner. Sausage curls ftw.

LHdM: Aveda anything really.  I use the Be Curly when my hair is longer.  Right now I use their Color Conserve shampoo and conditioner, and Confixor, Smooth Infusion, and Volumizing Tonic.

SFE: Bumble and Bumble Brillantine. So worth it.

4. Fess up, what’s the worst beauty look you’ve tried to rock and look back at now with a little shame or apprehension that you actually did that?

AUH: Blue eyeshadow and red lips. I was 12 but looked 16 or 17, so it's even more embarrassing to see in photos.

LHdM: I used to go to the tanning bed a couple times a week and was pretty tan.  It's less the look that I feel apprehensive about than the fact that I might have given myself skin cancer.  I've been trying to embrace paler skin the past few years.

SFE: Bangs.  I have a really uneven hairline and it just doesn't work. Also, I regret the smoky eyeshadow I wore for my engagement photos--even though it probably looks the best on me the photos were taken during the day in natural light, not at night.

5. When it comes to beauty products, we all use the same basic products. What do you use that helps show off your personal flare and personality?

AUH: Er....my mother's love? I have been blending purple and teal eyeshadow recently for a Mardis Gras look, if that counts.

LHdM: I'm pretty minimalist in my beauty routine, so I don't have a good answer to this question.  I love to wear lipstick, though, and I go through cycles when I paint my nails a lot.  And even though I don't wear much make up, I do notice that I'm still wearing more than many of my female colleagues.  Some of whom have told me they were socialized not to wear make up during grad school.

SFE:  Stila eyeshadow.  It's a little sparkly, which shows off my sparkling personality.

So what about you?  Do you use many beauty products?  What are some of your favorites?  Do you feel pressured to not wear make up?

The Dark Circle Fix

The Dark Circle Fix

Author: Arrvada

So, you're getting enough sleep and still you have dark circles under your eyes and on your eye lids. It's frustrating, makes you look like you're always tired and it makes you feel old. So what do you do?

First don't fall victim to those products out there that are green or yellow or blue and are supposed to fix dark circles. For one they are a waste of time, for two they are a waste of money!

So, what do you do? Ok, first are you really getting enough sleep? Second, is it just dark circles or you got a matched set of luggage going as well?

If you got a carryon hanging out under each eye, start each morning with a cold compress over your eyes. This will shrink the capillaries in your skin and reduce the swelling. Or you could always use a dab of Preparation H under your eyes. That will work wonders.

As for the dark circles for a quick fix you want to use a good cream concealer about a ½ shade lighter than your skin. Using the tips of your fingers lightly dab this on. You don't have to do it heavy and completely get rid of every trace of shadow you got going on. It's just one step to the whole process.

Second, apply your liquid foundation over your whole face and under your eyes and over your eye lids like you normally would. Apply your powder, being careful to apply just a little extra underneath your eyes, this will give a smoothness and help cover up the last vestiges of under eye shadow.

This three step process should remove any trace of dark shadows. Remember, it's a building up process so you don't have to be heavy handed with your products as this will just make you look like you are wearing a mask. So take your time, build up each layer carefully and blend out well and you will be dark circle free.

How to Apply the Perfect Lip Color and Blush

How to Apply the Perfect Lip Color and Blush

Author: LaDonna Williams

Lip color is essential to makeup applications. When choosing a lip color take into consideration your skin tone, eye color and lip shape. For the most flattering lipstick choose a color that is one or two shades darker than your skin tone. Here are the general rules for lipstick selection. If you have light skin (fair skin) should choose neutral or nude, pinks and coral colors. Medium skin tones look great with deep mauve, burgundy, and rose colors. If your skin is dark you have a little more flexibility a lighter color such as champagne or walnut colors are ideal during the day and darker colors such as deep purples or wine colors for the evening. Applying lip color can be a little tricky; we are used to applying lip color by taking our lipstick and going around in a complete circle or the back and forth method on each lip. You should apply your lipstick starting at the outer corner of the upper lip stopping in the middle. Repeat on the opposite side. Connect the center peak of the lips using rounded strokes. Be sure to follow the natural lip line. Repeat the same steps for the bottom lip.

Lip liner can also be used to help keep the lipstick from feathering. Lip liner is traditionally applied before the lipstick application; however in recent years lip liners have been applied after lipstick application this allows for easier blending. Lip liner should not be dramatically lighter or darker than your lip color; however if you choose to use a slightly darker lip liner be sure to blend to avoid harsh lip lines. Lip liner should be applied in the same manner as lipstick.

Blush or (cheek color) should give a natural looking glow to the face. It also makes the contour of the face more attractive. Cream color blushes resemble cream foundations and are generally used for dry to normal skin because they are usually oil-based. Liquid blush is suitable for all skin types. The most popular are the dry pressed blushes that come in a variety of shades. Here are the general rules to applying the perfect blush. First, apply where natural color would normally appear on the cheeks. Do not apply above the outer corner of the eye or toward the nose beyond the center of the eye. Secondly, blend the color so that it fades softly into the skin or foundation. Keep in mind to coordinate your cheek color with your eye makeup and lip color. Make Up 101 to Avoid Make Up 911

Make Up 101 to Avoid Make Up 911

Author: Hasan Ismail

Make up is such a magic word for me, I am the girl that can't leave even for a second without it. Sometimes even if my boy stop by and spending the night in my place I wont remove it from my face. Clearly make up is addictive and I'm addicted to it. I have found a fact that make up really boost my confidence, so i am really shoved to tell girls all over the world about make up 101.

When should we put on make up on our face? It's like every day! You girls..never ever get out from your house without make up, then you wont need make up 911 if suddenly you meet cute boys in neighborhood, you will always be ready for any chances comes to you.

So, what do we need to start? For me, 6 basics tools I need for make up 101 are face powder, eyebrow pencil, eyeliner, mascara, lip gloss and blush on. I need an eyebrow pencil since I almost have no eyebrow, but for you girls who already have a beautiful eyebrow you can skip it, you just need to fix it up with tweezers, and you can use eye shadow instead to make your eyes pop.

Before we use a face powder or any kinds of cosmetics, it is very important for us to put on moisturizer cream, it is used to protect our face skin from the color chemical content in the all make up we gonna use, use moisturizer that contain SPF, then after that u can apply the face powder, use face powder that fit your skin tone, do not use face powder that one skin tone lighter than yours, it wont blended well. Then after the face powder, you can use the eyebrow pencil or eye shadow, make it looks natural and light for daily look. Then use your eyeliner, it will make your eyes pop and attractive, use it properly, do not apply it longer than your eyelashes line, choose the black or brown one for daily use. Mascara is one of the most important tools we use here, it will elongated your lashes and makes your eyes bright, choose the light mascara to get the maximum result. Then u need a lip gloss to make your lips moist and soft, last but not least use a soft color blush on, to make your face fresh and young. For you with the warm skin tone, you can use blush on with orange shade, while if u have a light skin tone, you can use blush one with pink shade.

Okay girls that's my make up 101, that we can apply daily to boost our confidence and to be always ready for any chances comes to you. Have a nice try.

Christian Dior Makeup That Celebrities Like

Christian Dior makeup lies in the higher end of the spectrum in terms of pricing and some might consider it luxury makeup. You can find makeup ranging from foundations, concealers, blush and powders for the face to mascaras, eyeshadow and liners for the eyes from Christian Dior cosmetics.

Lipsticks, gloss, balms and lip liners are also available as well as lacquers for your nails. Christian Dior makeup is much favored by celebrities and the likes of Hilary Duff, Dita Von Teese, Charlize Theron and Madonna amongst others.

Over the years, one begins to learn that more often than not, luxury beauty products do not live up to their expectations and their performance is very seldom satisfactory. They provide little value for money and cheaper products are often more effective.

Made-Up Academics

Surprise, everyone! I'm secretly Eva Green. OK, so that's a different type of made-up. I did recently re-watch Casino Royale, however, and became obsessed with engineering a smokey eye look that could rock the classroom as well as the casino.
And here's what I came up with. I used a primer and then swiped MAC Crystal (a light gray) all over the lid followed by Nocturnelle (dark purple) and Carbon (black) on the outer corner, with Maybelline Full n'Soft on the lashes.

And here we have the final result. Not as smokey as Eva Green's, perhaps, but not out of place at 7:30 a.m. At least not in my book. I may have misgivings about visible zippers in the classroom, but I'm all in favor of smokey eyes by day--especially if getting up that early means I can't wear the look out at night in its natural environment.

However, while I love doing up my eyes, I tend to avoid all other forms of makeup except for the occasional lipstick. Which features do you tend to emphasize?

MAKE ME UP
