Lancome is a French brand owned by L’Oreal as part of the luxury products division and recently celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2010. Products by Lancome include makeup, skincare and fragrances for the higher-end market.

Lancome fragrances include Tresor, Tresor In Love, Magnifique, Poeme, Magie Noire, O De Lancome, O Oui and Miracle but perhaps the most popular in their current lineup is the Lancome Hypnose collection.

While the most successful in terms of sales are the Tresor and Magie collections, Lancome perfumes rated highly by critics include Poeme, Benghal and Tropiques.

Tropiques is made of the following notes: cranberry, raspberry, mango blossom, jasmine, black currant, powdery vanilla trace, tonka and sandalwood. A tropical scent launched in 2006, Tropiques is a very subtle floral-fruity scent with a pleasant warm base and vanilla finish.
