Dressing for Gatsby?

I've been taking a break from syllabus planning to fantasy shop my summer teaching wardrobe. I haven't gotten as far as planning outfits around specific texts (though that may be an idea for the next time I'm struggling to resolve something.....hmmmm....), but cruising around the Anthropologie site (always dangerous) revealed these, which just seem to *belong* on my feet in the classroom. And at home.
Of course, I also turned up the following, which I *love* but just would not wear to the classroom unless.....does anyone have any texts they think this would go with?
I also fell in love with this Shabby Apple dress:

Do you ever consider an ensemble based on the lesson you're teaching? If so, do you tell your students?
