10 Ways the World Has Changed Since You've Been in School

1) I am living on my own, in my own house with a family to support, no more curfews and sneaking in. Yes even in college I had to sneak in; my mom was a stickler for the rules and swore by the not under my roof rule.

2) No one uses and encyclopedia anymore, instead we google, wiki, or ask.com what we need to know.

3) We have a far more volatile world that we live in, regardless if it is suburban America or the streets of Kabul the world as I knew it nearly 20 years ago does not exist.

4) Kids are getting smarter earlier, or I am getting dumber as I age. I swear my Kindergartner is learning about things I learned in 3rd grade when she gets to 5th grade I am going to be screwed because mommy will not be able to help with the homework anymore.

5) I can order just about anything I want with a few keystrokes and a couple clicks of the mouse, no more trolling all over creation to find the perfect gift now I simply sit in my office with coffee in hand and click away.

6) COFFEE who in the world would believe that we would pay nearly $5 for a cup of coffee nearly everyday?

7)Travel is not a fun task any longer (my opinion) we no longer can greet those that we love at the gate of their arriving plane instead we are forced to circle the airport like a vulture or worse yet sit in the cell phone waiting area.

8) In order to get a degree you no longer really need to sit in a class for hours on end, you can now sit in front of a computer and without experiences frat parties and dorm life you too can have a degree.

9) Food, I love to eat but even I who loves to eat have noticed that the portions severed in restaurants are HUGE! That said I don't remember seeing so many over weight people in my life.

10) I have people calling me mame on a regular basis and it makes me feel old!!!

10 Movies You’re Excited to See

I don't get to the movies much but if I did this is what I would want to see.

1) Forgetting Sarah Marshall - April 18th - One name, Kristen Bell. If you still have doubts, check the trailer. (i know I am a little behind)

2) Iron Man - May 2nd - Can’t miss this.

3) Speed Racer - May 9th - Look sPromising

4) Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull - May 22nd - Another can’t miss. I hope this hold up to the originals.

5) Sex in the City - May 30th - I don’t care, but my chick card will be revocked if I don't see it.

6) Kung Fu Panda - June 6th - Hoping my kids will be able ot see this but it may only be OK for the older one.

7) Get Smart - June 20th - The classic TV series was great fun. Steve Carell is perfect for the part, let’s hope he does better with this than Will Farrell did with Bewitched…

8) Wanted - June 27th - Holy crap. I can’t begin to explain my excitement about Mark Millar’s creator owned book being made into an adrenaline pumping, full blown, summer popcorn flick.

9) Wall-E - June 27th - Total kid flick

10) The X-Files 2 - July 25th - only because I love my husband…

10 Things You're Really Good At

Multi Tasking- People often ask how I do it and honestly I am not really aware that I am "doing it"

Organizing- just about anything parties, closets you name it

Making people laugh- I try to do this a lot but sometimes I am just not in the laughing mood

Knowing what I want- no wishy washiness here

Sports
- I was a high school and college athlete

Being a good friend- I may not have tons of friends but of the ones that I do I think they would all say I am there for them

Baking- I can bake some mean desserts

Driving- strange huh well I drive 70 miles a day in a Metropolitan city and I think I am can drive better then most men.

Making myself feel guilty- There are days I ask myself why do I work, I have huge guilt that I am not a stay at home mom. There are times that I feel people look down on me because I work and do so by choice, however for me I think it is the best thing but that doesn't stop the guilt.

Being a mom
- ok well I am not sure that I am good at it but I like to think I am!

10 Superstitions, Traditions, and/or Personality Quirks
Note these are in no particular order :)

1) I cannot walk away from my kitchen unless it is completely cleaned.

2) I layout my clothes for the week on Sunday night (I also do this for the kids too)

3) I always make homemade Pumpkin pie and Apple Pie for Thanksgiving.

4) Christmas stockings in our family are as big as the presents, sometimes I think we look forward to them more then the presents.

5) I always say I love you and mean it when I leave the kids or my husband for the day.

6) I snuggle with my son in his bed for a couple of minutes after I read his book every night, some of the best conversations have been had during snuggle time

7) I am 35 and my mom still give me a Christmas PJ box and an Easter basket and I would be upset if she didn't.

8) I am a clean neat freak, borderline OCD I think. Some say they don't' understand how with 2 children my house is so clean.

9) I make my coffee the night before and set it up on a timer so I have fresh hot coffee waiting for me, it is best for all who come in contact with me in the morning and there is nothing like the smell of fresh coffee to wake up to

10) And yes I believe that breaking a mirror will give me bad luck!
