Teddies In Pure Silk Or Cool Shimmering Satin

By Kevin F. Moore

Lingerie lovers who delight in the feminine caress of silk or satin will adore a silky satin teddy or some all in one cami knickers. Teddies look and feel absolutely gorgeous because they fit so snugly at the waist and legs. Trimmed in the most delicate feminine lace these amazing silky satin pieces of ladies underwear can be worn beneath virtually any type of clothing. They are nice and comfortable under jeans or trousers whilst just as slinky with something far more elegant like a shimmering satin evening gown. Smooth shinny stockings and suspenders also add a touch of elegance to a satin teddy especially the sight of the pretty feminine suspenders against the lace around the legs.

Trimmed with delicate satin bows on the straps and feminine laces on the bodice these beautiful silky teddies are a lingerie lovers delight. They also make ideal loungewear or even pretty feminine nightwear too. Imagine slipping your favourite satin robe over a pure silk teddy before curling up for the evening with a glass of wine and a good book. Then you can slip off your pretty feminine robe and slide between your luxurious sheets to spend the night having your body caressed in the embrace of pure decadent silk or smooth shimmering satin. Nothing feels like the touch of pure silk against the skin and a teddy will feel so snug as it hugs the body especially around those lace trimmed legs.

Imagine wearing one of these stunning silky creations under your work clothes all day. Feeling the gentle feminine caress of silk against the skin as you move around wearing your pretty teddy in secret right through the day. Silks and laces really are an expression of the most feminine kind so it's no surprise that silky satin teddies are still as popular as ever with satin lovers of all ages. They simply adore the idea of an all in one garment that looks fabulous and feels extremely comfortable too. Made from the latest blends of silk and satin these teddies wash up like new time after time and they make a beautiful gift that satin lovers can treasure for years to come. Elegant and sophisticated whilst practical at the same time silk or satin teddies are as popular as ever they have been.

Most silky satin lingerie suppliers offer both a standard as well as a longer length teddy so taller lingerie lovers are well catered for. Size is not a problem either and big as they say really is beautiful in the world of pretty feminine lingerie. Most manufacturers now make teddies well beyond extra large in some of the most fabulous colours and choices of fabric so the larger lady can enjoy the feminine caress of silk next to the skin. Gone are the days when beautiful silks and satins were the preserve of those with the figure of a stick insect and silk or satin teddies look fabulous on the fuller figure too. So if you are a lingerie lover maybe it's time to treat yourself to a beautiful feminine silky satin teddy.

How to Get The Latest Take on The Lace Trend

How to Get The Latest Take on The Lace Trend

By Charlotte J Bleasdale

All-over lace was a massive fashion trend in 2010, with the underwear as outwear trend emerging and lashings of black lace appearing on Christmas party dresses. Fashion's love affair with this most feminine of fabrics is not yet over, but as ever, evolves into something fresh and new. Gone is the decadence of winter's gothic heavy black lace, making way for something equally as fabulous, but completely different.

Lingerie looks

Lace is traditionally a key fabric for lingerie, but instead of wearing lingerie pieces such as camisoles and bustiers as outwear, in spring 2011 it's all about feminine dresses and blouses that are embellished with lace the same way that a piece of underwear might be. Bows and floral detailing such as rosettes are key, as are delicate, sheer fabrics that reveal more than a suspicion of skin. Colours are classic and ladylike, from black and cream to powder blue. This style of lace is perfect for the evening, for elegant blouses worn with wide leg trousers or knee-length dresses. Wear with minimal accessories and jewellery to let the lace take centre stage.

Vintage chic

What could be more appropriate for spring than fresh white lace? Tablecloth-inspired lace with large motifs and cut out pieces are being used for feminine summer skirts and dresses, including ruffled styles and babydoll dresses. If you're looking for something a little more sophisticated than cream or tea-stained lace gives more of a vintage or antiqued look. This style fits beautifully with the resurgence of seventies style and is perfect for maxi skirts and maxi dresses. If you can't find what you're looking for in the shops then vintage stores may offer up undiscovered gems.

Primary colour

A brand new take on lace has been dubbed 'poster paint lace'; saturated primary colours used for whole dresses for a really striking look. This trend is not for the faint-hearted but if you want to make a big impact it could be just the thing. From canary yellow to pillar-box red and cobalt blue, it's amazing how different lace can look when it's not your classic black and white. Team a one-colour lace dress with nude or contrasting-colour accessories for an up-to-the minute look that's sure to turn heads. Avoid eighties shapes and stick to an A-line silhouette to keep it chic.

Neon brights

For the fashion-adventurer out there, go really bold with neon lace. Whereas the lingerie or vintage look is ideal for spring, this look is definitely best saved for high summer. It's best complemented with a tan for a tropical look, so why not try it on your holidays? As neon makes such a statement, keep the shape simple and the length lady-like to keep it classy and high-fashion.
