Veet- What beauty feels like
,‘Veet’ a brand that has been aspirational for many women globally and is considered to be the personification of femininity. Over the past few years many fashion models and actresses have endorsed the essence of the Veet brand making glamour a significant part of the ‘Veet’ world. This leads us to the show “Veet- What beauty feels like” which was held at the PC Marquee in Karachi on 28th May 2009 showcasing a celebration of beauty and femininity through some of the finest ambassadors of Pakistani Fashion. A Catwalk Productions presentation featuring an exclusive dance performance choreographed by Omar Rahim and collections of Top Pakistani designers such as HSY, Nomi Ansari, Khaadi Khas and Maheen Khan.HSY certainly set the mood dazzlingly optimistic through his airy Resort collection. The emphasis was on an elegant, fluid silhouette in soft fabrics like chiffon and georgette. Calm and restrained as the collection was there were the eccentric touches that HSY always injects to keep things interesting.
Shamoon Sultan introduced the new Spring/Summer 09 collection from Khaadi Khaas revealing a passion for detail and an unmistakable quest for beauty in its true signature style. An extension of Khaadi, Khaadi Khaas is a line of formal prĂȘt wear for the modern urban woman. Hand-woven Khaadi fabric, mostly silk, lawn and voile has been used, and the collection is dominated by flowy, airy styles, ideal for the typical Pakistani summer. The look was fresh, fun and playful, embracing the spirit of individuality.
