Three Ways to Donate to the Relief Effort in Japan

1. Donate to UNICEF.  Typically Japan is a major donor to UNICEF, but due to the incredible scope of this disaster, UNICEF is providing relief effort. 

2. Doctors Without Borders has a number of medical teams on the ground.  Because they don't earmark their funds, they are drawing on unrestricted donations.

3. The American Red Cross has relief teams in Japan.  You can donate online to a fund earmarked for Japan or to their general relief effort. You can also text REDCROSS to 90999 to donate $10.  However, there is evidence to suggest the phone companies are behind in their delivery of the funds.
